I was going to wait. But I couldn't do it. Shocking, I know.
Its just that, well a lot could change. I've read tons of stories and seen tons of movies where it does...but I'm just going to think positive.
But....
I'm....I'm going to be a mom.
I met with this young girl, well woman, and we talked about a lot. But long story short she thinks that I would be a great fit. I have a job that allows me to work from home, an amazing family and support system, and well she seemed to like what she heard.
And all of this...everything is definitely thanks to Harry for all his help and hard work. You are absolutely amazing.
And of course my family. Especially because I know they are going to help me with everything I need to do to get ready... :D

I can't believe everything that's been going on with that cruise ship that capsized. It's been all over the news. From what they've been saying...it could have been avoided. A lot of people are freaking out because it's the hundred year anniversary of the sinking of the R. M. S. Titanic. I've read some of the comments going around and people are swearing off cruises.
Speaking of the Titanic...there's an anniversary cruise. Period costumes, menu from its voyage, entertainment from that period. Guest speakers and historians. Ancestors of passengers are going. It sounds like it would be an interesting event. It sounds like it would be something worth documenting..

So I've decided I'm going to do it. I'm going to adopt. I've always wanted to be a mom. I'm hoping the fact that I'm a single person will not really matter in the long run. I know the preferred home is a two parent home but I think the abundance of family I have around here should more than make up for that.

So I've been doing this documentary on adoption and the statistics I've found...I mean I've been thinking about this for AWHILE now, anyway. There's just so babies and children who need homes. And I was thinking that maybe I could adopt.
That's not...crazy is it?
